In the 19th century, scientists believed that the sun was made up of a chemical element, Coronium.

Named after the solar corona or crown extending millions of kilometers into space.

This new atomic thin green line in the solar corona was then considered to be coming from a new element unlike anything else seen under laboratory conditions.
